Hey there, let’s talk about something that’s been weighing on my mind lately — the tendency for some folks to spread their own negativity like a virus, dragging everyone else down with them. You know what I mean, right? It’s that vibe where people infect others with their complaints and excuses, making them believe that mediocrity is the norm. Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of it. So, let’s talk about this toxic trend.
Imagine you’re at school or work, trying to tackle a task with all your enthusiasm and energy, only for someone to come along and tell you it’s impossible or it’s hard. Maybe they’re slow, lazy, or just don’t know how to get it done efficiently. But instead of trying to improve, they’d rather infect you with their pessimist attitude. It’s like they want to make an eagle think like a hen, that is content with scratching around in the dirt instead of soaring high above the clouds.
And it’s not just about work or school stuff either. It’s about how we approach life in general. Take healing, for example. We’ve all been through tough times, whether it’s a bad breakup or just dealing with everyday struggles especially of being an adult. But instead of moving forward and finding ways to heal, some people want to dwell on their pain and drag others down with them. Well, sorry, but that’s not how we roll.
Then there are those who’ve given up on being kind because they’ve been burned one too many times. They’ve decided that being nice isn’t worth it because people take advantage or don’t reciprocate. But here’s the thing — kindness isn’t about what you get in return. It’s about making the world a better place, one small act at a time.
let’s also address the glorification of sacrificing sleep and nutrition in the name of productivity or preparation for the future. It’s become all too common for people to boast about burning the midnight oil or skipping meals as a badge of honor, as if self-neglect equates to ambition. Prioritizing proper sleep and nutrition is fundamental to our overall health and success, let’s normalize self-care and recognize that true productivity and success stems from a balanced lifestyle that includes adequate rest and nourishment. After all, there’s no goal or dream worth sacrificing our well-being for in the long run.
Well, I suggest each of us taking responsibility for our own actions and attitudes. If you’re feeling lazy, that’s on you. If you’re hurt, deal with it in your own way without infecting others with your negativity. And if you don’t see the value in something valuable, that’s your own perspective, but don’t try to ensure others see the same.
Let’s break the cycle of misery loves company, one positive influence at a time. Let’s be the eagles that soar high, not the hens that cluck around in the dirt. And let’s remember that we have the power to shape our own attitudes and actions, regardless of what anyone else might try to infect us with.
So, to all the slow, lazy, complaining, hurt folks out there — do us all a favor and keep your negativity to yourself. We’ve got better things to do than wallow in misery. Let’s spread some positivity instead.
As Tabitha Brown would say; Have a good day, but if you can’t, don’t you dare go messing up nobody else’s
